Arsenal’s high-rated midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong will join Charlton Athletic on loan until 1st January the club have confirmed on their official website.
The Ghanaian player returned to action for the Gunners this season with two appearances in the Capital One League Cup after injury is cruciate ligaments while on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers last season.
The 20 year old stressed on Twitter that he was not seeking a permanent move away from the Emirates last week after rumours began to spread that he was unhappy at the lack of game time given to him by Arsene Wenger.
“Subject to rumours am not leaving afc I am positive of going on loan this week which am really excited about and I am fully committed to afc,” Frimpong said on his Twitter account.
“And am not in my last year or looking to be sold just to clear matters thank you and going on loan to get games and cum back to arsenal.”
Frimpong has made 14 appearances for Wenger’s first team since joining the North London club aged nine.
