Liverpool FC are now 1/4 for English Premier League glory following Chelsea’s slip to Sunderland.
Following Chelsea’s shock defeat to Sunderland, Liverpool have now shortened into 1/4 from 8/15 for Premier League glory whilst Chelsea have drifted out to 18/1 from 11/4.
Manchester City who still have a game in hand have been shortened into 7/2 from 6/1.
Sunderland on the other hand are still bottom of the Premier League table but are only one point below Fulham and Cardiff and as a result their odds have eased dramatically in the relegation betting and the Black Cats are now 8/15 having been as short as 1/10 prior to the victory over Chelsea to be relegated.
Fulham who went down 3-1 to Tottenham earlier in the day are now just one point above Sunderland and their odds have shortened into 4/9 from 10/11 to be relegated with Cardiff who played out a 1-1 draw with Stoke now just above Fulham on goal difference. Cardiff are now red hot at 1/7 to be relegated having been 3/10 prior to today’s draw.
Norwich who play Premier League favourites and leaders Liverpool tomorrow have been clipped into 1/3 from 4/9 to be relegated as it is expected that Brendan Rodgers side will continue their winning run of form in tomorrow’s early kick-off.
Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “Certainly some Liverpool punters are even more excited this Easter Saturday following Chelsea’s slip up to Sunderland. Some punters have backed Liverpool at 20/1 at the start of the season and this now looks a nice bet judging by their current odds of 1/4 for EPL glory.”
He added “Sunderland have been eased dramatically in the betting to be relegated and are now 8/15 having been 1/10 prior to today’s victory over Chelsea. Gus Poyets squad look to have the easiest games left and may just avoid relegation.”
