Champions League bets worth a flutter

The Champions League returns to our screens this week so lets have a look at a few worthwhile bets.

Punters have put Chelsea as 8/1 favourites with Boylesports.com to win the competition and judging from their early season form these seems very short odds for a team that is overloaded in mid field and shorn of a top goal scorer in good form.

At 18/1 Dortmund are very long odds to win outright. They have held on to Lewandoski, added Mkhitaryan and started the Bundesliga like a train. Well worth an outside bet. There will be plenty of punters keeping a keen eye on the scores as they happen at www.scores.co.uk

When it comes to top scorer it hard to look past the goal machines from Spain’s big 2. Ronaldo is 7/2 while Messi is 11/4 with Boylesports.com.  Smart money should go on the Madrid man spurred on by the arrival of a certain Welsh wizard.

Of this weeks matches Galatasaray look a good bet to beat Real Madrid at home. A front three of Drogba, Yilmaz and Sneider should cause plenty of problems for a Madrid. Only 2 home defeats in 14 for the Turks at a price of 11/2 with Boylesports they may catch Madrid cold.

At 6/4 Arsenal should have too much for Marseille. The South of France team started Ligue 1 well with 3 wins from 3 but have since wobbled. A player reborn Aaron Ramsey is in the form of his life and at 5/1 to score with Arsenal winning looks a good bet.

Manchester City have been less than inspiring in their games this season and carry a few injuries into this game most importantly David Silva. Plzen are unbeaten in 8 winning 6 in the Czech league and will want to start their campaign on a high note. 11/4 is worth it for the draw.
