Chelsea are set to make a £22million summer move for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini, according to reports from Setanta Sports.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is planning a radical summer squad overhaul with the Belgian the latest potential signing to be linked to the club.
The Belgian midfielder has impressed since coming to the Merseyside club back in 2008. Having made 104 appearances and scoring 14 goals for the club; at 24 years old, the player is just what Abramovich is looking for to boost his squad’s options.
Everton boss David Moyes will be keen to keep hold of the 33 times capped Belgian international, but it is well known that the Toffees have cash problems and a fee of £22million could be too big to turn down.
Accepting such a fee would enable Everton to hold onto the likes of Jack Rodwell, so there is a definite possibility that a deal could be made.
Fellaini only signed a five year deal last summer, but that is unlikely to stop Chelsea tabling an offer for the bushy haired Efferbeek native.
