Norwich City manager Chris Hughton is confident of bringing Celtic striker Gary Hooper to Carrow Road in the January transfer window.

Boylesports.com are offering 2/1 for Manchester United to beat Liverpool this weekend for all new customers

Radio station talkSPORT are reporting that Norwich are closing to signing the 24 year old despite Celtic’s involvement in the Champions League next month when they face Juventus in the last 16.

Hooper has enjoyed great success since moving to the Bhoys in 2010, scoring 53 goals in 80 appearances and Celtic manager Neil Lennon had been hoping to hang onto the player but it now appears he is resigned to losing him.

Talks have already taken place between the clubs and with only 18 months left on his contract Celtic bosses will be keen to cash in while they can, and Hooper himself would be re-compensated handsomely with a £30k a week deal at the Canaries.

No offense to norwich but you’re hardly going to be pushing for a place in the champions league, why leave a club where you are playing in Europes elite competition to join a team that are never going to be? I know its about the money….always is….Greed.

Celtic will play in the champions league every season now . Because there is no competition in the Scottish premier league ! At least in the PL coming to norwich there’s competition
