With Pep Guardiola in place Bayern Munich have turned their attention towards strengthening their squad and Metro reports that Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is top of their list.
Bayern bosses are planning a marquee signing in the summer and it appears that Liverpool’s top scorer could be subject to an astronomical bid if Guardiola agrees that the Uruguyan is the right man to lead the line at the Bundesliga giants.
Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani and Edin Dzeko are also big name strikers who would fit the bill in Munich.
Guardiola’s brother Pere is Suarez’s agent so if the bid did materialise it could put a quick end to the player’s Anfield career.
Since signing for Liverpool Suarez has consistently declared his love for the fans and life on Merseyside so only a substantial offer is likely to tempt him away from the Premier League.
A renewed contract in August put Suarez on close to €120,000 a week but Bayern would be likely to offer more than that if Guardiola was keen.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said earlier in the week that Suarez deserves Champions League football and it is up to the rest of the squad to help deliver that.
