Everton have never beaten Fulham in the four previous meetings between the teams in the FA Cup but the Toffees have already come out on top over the Cottagers in the league, with a 3-1 win earlier in the season at Craven Cottage.

Everton defender Tony Hibbert is fit and in the squad for Friday’s clash with Fulham while Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka are still out with hamstring and knee injuries respectively.

Moyes may decide to call upon Hibbert to strengthen his backline, which has recently been boosted by the displays of Ireland Under-21 international Shane Duffy, and the Derry man could continue his spell in the side thanks to the absentees in defence.

Seamus Coleman (thigh), Leon Osman (knee) and Jack Rodwell (hamstring) are all still injured while Diniyar Bilyaletdinov will not be an option in midfield after agreeing terms with Russian side Spartak Moscow to seal his January transfer.

Fulham manager Martin Jol will be without promising forward Mousa Dembele after the Belgian dropped out of training midweek, having previously missed the Cottagers win over Newcastle with a hip injury.

Orlando Sa (hamstring) and full back Zdenek Grygera (knee) are out while Mark Schwarzer will be replaced by David Stockdale in goal as the veteran Australian ‘keeper is still out with a spine injury; Steve Sidwell is set to return despite his early exit from the Newcastle game last Saturday.
