Fulham v Manchester United preview
Sir Alex Ferguson’s United side will be out to record another league victory on their travels at Craven Cottage on Wednesday evening, as they aim to maintain the pressure on neighbours Manchester City at the top of the table.
United come into the match sitting 2nd in the table, two points behind leaders City. Hosts Fulham have started to turn their season around of late, with good home wins against Bolton and Liverpool, taking Martin Jol’s team up to 11th.
Fulham must do without the services of: Simon Davies (back), Zdenek Grygera (knee), Mark Schwarzer (back), and Steve Sidwell (hernia).
United are missing Anderson (knee), Tom Cleverley (ankle), Darren Fletcher (illness), Michael Owen (thigh), and Nemanja Vidic (knee).
Fulham: Stockdale, Baird, Senderos, Hangeland, Riise, Ruiz, Murphy, Etuhu, Dempsey
Man United: De Gea, Smalling, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra, Valencia, Jones, Carrick, Nani
Craven Cottage is always a tough place to go and get a result. Fulham have already proven to be very difficult to beat this term, defeating the ten men of Liverpool and drawing with Manchester City.
United will have to work hard to grind out another three points, but with Betfair.com placing them at 1.76 on to win, I can’t see them losing away for the first time in the league this season.
Prediction: Fulham 1 3 Manchester United
