Sunderland have signed Danny Graham from Swansea for a reported fee of £5million on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Graham, who was a key figure in Brendan Rodger’s Swansea side last season, had fell out of favour at the Liberty stadium under new management and handed in a transfer request to Swansea on Tuesday night citing personal reasons for his desire to leave the club.
The 27-year-old striker has scored 15 Premier League goals in the last two seasons for Swansea and may be a key assist for Martin O Neill’s side as they have lacked the finishing touch in front of goal at times this season.
He is expected to have a medical at Sunderland’s Academy of Light training complex today and is likely to figure at Reading on Saturday.
