Second from bottom Hibernian has sacked manager Colin Calderwood after 12 months at Easter Road.
The former Newcastle assistant manager only took over from John Hughes last October however Saturday’s defeat at home to Dunfermline means that the former Scottish international won just 12 of 49 games in charge.
Fan’s reacted angrily to the weekend defeat calling for the head of Calderwood and the chairman Rod Petrie and the board have now acted with the sacking of Calderwood.
Calderwood was linked with moves to Nottingham Forest and Birmingham in the summer, but opted to remain in Edinburgh.
Hibs will now begin their search for a new manager as they look to bring in a new man before the home clash with Kilmarnock on November 19
