It looks like the FAI aren’t in any hurry to replace Giovanni Trapattoni but Boylesports has had to cut former Liverpool manager, Gerard Houllier in price as the firm has seen cash come in for the Frenchman.
Houllier was initially installed at 33/1 after Trapattoni’s departure but now has emerged as a leading contender having been backed down from 9/1 into 6/1 on Monday.
Martin O’Neill who was once the red hot favourite is easy to back at 6/4 whilst Mick McCarthy is priced at 3/1 to reunite with the Boys in Green.
Current interim manager, Noel King is on offer at 14/1 whilst Dutch native Gus Hiddink can be backed at 10/1.
Leon Blanche, Head of Communications at Boylesports said “The Next ROI Manager market is changing all the time having already seen money for Mick McCarthy, Alex Ferguson and Martin O’Neill.”
He added “Gerard Houllier is the latest to be backed with some hefty bets laid at 9/1 which forced us to slash his odds into 6/1.”
