Punters support Giroud into 8/1 to land 2013/14 EPL Golden Boot
RVP drifts out to 5/2
With just five games played in the Premier League, Boylesports can report that punters have supported Olivier Giroud to land the 2013/14 EPl Golden Boot. The Arsenal striker is now 8/1 having been as big as 40/1 prior to the start of the season.
Currently, Robin van Persie, who has netted three goals so far this season, is the 5/2 favourite to retain the title whilst Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge is available at 10/1.
Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney is back in form and has already netted two Premier League goals this season. He’s on offer at 16/1 whilst Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero is available at 8/1.
Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke has already scored four goals this season and is available at 11/1 with Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker is offering 1/4 odds 1, 2, 3, 4 places on the market.
Leon Blanche, Head of Communications at Boylesports said “We have seen a flood of cash for Olivier Giroud over the past few days and have had to cut him from 10/1 into 8/1 to land the prestigious Golden Boot.”
He added “It’s early days yet but punters are still hesitant whether Robin van Persie can retain the Golden Boot and he is currently on the drift out to 5/2 having been 9/4 prior to his current groin injury.”
