The upfront comments come following similar circumstances in the past where the Italian veteran has been left looking out of touch with his players, notably regarding incidents involving Shane Long and Kevin Foley.
Harte had already publically blasted the national manager in a similar fashion in 2011. At the time, the 35 year old stated that Trapattoni hadn’t known he was Irish until a squad member informed him.
“I was speaking to a few of the players and they said he did not realise I was Irish, even though I have played 67 times, scored 11 goals and am the second leading scorer in the squad,” the Reading left back said.
