2Devastated is an understatement. We should retire the number 8 shirt in honour of Lamps,” Terry wrote on his Webstagram account.
Chelsea fans have urged club bosses to extend Lampard’s deal especially in light of his recent performance against Everton where he scored both goals to give the Londoners a 2-1 win but Kutner today gave the biggest indication yet that the midfielder would be departing Stamford Bridge.
“At this moment, Lampard is exclusively thinking about the present, in other words Chelsea,’ Kutner told Cittaceleste.it.
“As for the future, the only certainty is that he will change team at the end of the season. Frank wants to play for a great side, capable of challenging for important targets and where he could win more trophies.”
Lampard has been linked with Inter Milan and Lazio in recent weeks and Kutner suggested that Italy is Lampard’s most likely destination.
“A champion of Lampard’s calibre deserves the biggest stage. Serie A? Why not? Only time will tell if Lazio could be the ideal destination.”
Interim Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez has remained tight lipped on the possibility of
Chelsea face Southampton in the FA Cup this Saturday.
