According to the Daily Mirror,, Brendan Rodgers is interested in a move for the Croatian U21 midfielder as he looks for a long term successor for Steven Gerrard.
The 19 year old, who has also caught the eye of Serie A side Lazio and Genoa and has a long term contract with the Croatian side, was watched by Reds scouts in the Champions league clash between Dinamo and Porto.
Everton have also held a long term interest in the player and they could enter the fray too especially with Zagreb given indications that they could be willing to do business next summer.
