Boylesports.com Thursday special – Liverpool – Chelsea – Newcastle – Tottenham 14/1
With the likes of Luis Suarez and Thomas Vermaelen already playing top flight football in England, two more players have been linked with a move to the country with Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Nerwcastle all mentioned as possible suitors.
Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld are under contract with Ajax until June 2014, but with neither looking likely to extend their deals beyond that date, the European giants may be forced to sell the exciting duo.
According to the Daily Mail Liverpool are reported to be highly interested in Eriksen and a move for the Danish international would be a big boost at Anfield, with the Reds lacking a creative midfielder of his caliber since the move of Steven Gerrard to a more defensive position.
However, Brendan Rodger’s side will have to compete with several European clubs including Manchester Untied for his signature, as Eriksen has attracted widespread attention following his 6 goals and 6 assists in this season’s Dutch league.
Newcastle and Tottenham are also in the hunt for an Ajax player. It is being reported that Toby Alderweireld is set to follow his former team mate Jan Vertonghen to White Hart Lane.
The 23-year-old, who has already appeared 112 times in the Eredivisie, is also being linked with a move to St. James’ Park, and could be seen as a future replacement for want-away centre back Fabricio Coloccini.
