Liverpool FC’s Luis Suarez hardens for Premiership Golden Boot

Following the news on Wednesday that Luis Suarez was awarded the fourth goal in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over West Ham, Boylesports has shortened the Liverpool striker into odds on to go one better than last season and win the 2013/14 Golden Boot.

Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, who is now three goals behind Suarez, is available at 12/5 to win the Top Goalscorer award whilst Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud is on offer at 16/1 alongside Wayne Rooney.

Last season’s winner, Robin van Persie, has eased in the betting and is now 10/1 from 6/1 to retain the title.

Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “Luis Suarez is all the rage with football punters and now that he has a three goal lead in the Premier League goalscorer table, we have had to shorten him further into 5/6 from Evens.”

He added “ Although the 2013/14 Premier League season still has a long way to go, we have to keep Luis Suarez on our good side as he currently stands to be our worst Ante Post result as the Uruguayan has been supported down from odds of 16/1 after he returned from his ten match suspension.”

Daniel Sturridge at 33/1 seems attractive too? He is going to be hungry when he gets back.
