Giovanni Trapattoni named a young, attack minded side for Ireland’s friendly with Greece tomorrow night in the Aviva Stadium, kick off at 7.45pm.
Ciaran Clark, James McClean, Robbie Brady and Shane Long all start for the Republic as manager Trapattoni looks to create some excitement around a regime which is drawing much criticism from fans for its stagnant style.
The Italian has picked seven premier league starters in his line-up, with Norwich’s Wes Hoolahan making do with the bench though Trap said he would be involved in the second half..
Jon Walters, Keith Fahey, Paul McShane and Aiden McGeady all pulled out of the squad this week due to injury, with Andy Keogh and Conor Clifford coming up in their absence.
