It’s the news that Liverpool fans won’t like hearing but Luis Suarez has admitted he would find it hard to turn down a summer move to Real Madrid.
The La Liga giants are being linked with a $60 million move for the striker and they have received encouragement from Suarez comments on Uruguayan radio station Sport 890.
The 26 year currently serving a 10 game ban for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic told the station that the ferocious criticism he receives from the English media could force him to leave England and continue his career elsewhere.
“I’ve worked hard since childhood to get where I am and I keep getting constant criticism from the English press. It makes me tired. Liverpool want me to stay, but I do not know what will happen,” he said.
He added: “It would be difficult to say ‘no’ to Real Madrid”, before saying: “So far, I have not received any official offer from Madrid.”
The former Ajax striker has emerged as one of Europe’s leading forward following his move to Anfield in 2011and scored 23 league goals in 33 games last season.
Despite being with Suarez, Real Madrid is currently looking for a new manager, with Jose Mourinho leaving at the end of the Primera Division season and no decision will be made until a new man is in place.
