In a report in the Daily Star, it states that City director of football Txiki Begiristain has now identified Reus as one of the club’s top summer targets. However, the German international has a deal with Dortmund that runs till 2017 and would cost around £30m. Reus has been a long-time target of City and was linked with a move to the Etihad even before he joined Dortmund.

The report claims Begiristain is also keeping tabs on Sevilla winger Jesus Navas as he looks to inject some pace into City’s wings. The 27-year-old has a £35m release clause in his contract but should available for around half of that figure, with his current deal set to expire in two years.

Neymar, Napoli hitman Edinson Cavani, Malaga playmaker Isco, Celtic anchorman Victor Wanyama and Derby County’s teenage sensation Will Hughes are all on City’s radar, while Edin Dzeko, Samir Nasri and Scott Sinclair could be shown the door to help raise funds for the summer spending.
