With the top of the table clash not taking place until today at Anfield, Saturday’s Premier League matches mainly concentrated on the relegation zone.
Following their 1-0 loss to Everton, Sunderland now lie bottom of the Premier League table and four points below Cardiff. The Black Cats look a cert to go down and have hardened into 1/14 from 1/6 to be relegated with Boylesports.
Despite recording a 1-0 win over Southampton, Cardiff still remain in the relegation zone but only lie one point below Fulham and three points below Norwich. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been eased in the betting to 1/3 from 1/12 to be relegated after their win over Southampton.
Following their vital win over Norwich, Fulham have been eased to Evens from 1/2 to be relegated whilst Norwich despite lying above the relegation zone are now 4/9 from Evens to be relegated.
West Brom, who played out a 3-3 draw with Tottenham, have now drifted out to 13/2 from 9/2 to be relegated whilst Aston Villa, who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace and lie four points above the relegation zone, have shortened into 12/1 from 25/1 to make the drop to Championship football next season.
Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “Saturday’s games saw the Premier League Relegation betting see many changes with Sunderland shortening into 1/14 from 1/6 following another Premier League defeat.”
He added “Although Aston Villa remain four points above the relegation zone, they still aren’t safe and following their 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace our traders have shortened The Villans into 12/1 from 25/1 to be relegated as they have to face Manchester City and Tottenham in their final two games of the season in May.”
