Boylesports have cut Daniel Sturridge into 5/1 from 12/1 to win the EPL Golden Boot after the England striker scored another two goals in Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Swansea on Sunday.
Sturridge has now scored 18 Premier League goals this season and is just five behind team mate Luis Suarez (23 goals) who remains the 1/6 favourite to go one better than his runner up spot to Robin Van Persie in last year’s Golden Boot.
Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero has netted 15 goals this season and is priced at 16/1 to win whilst last year’s winner Robin Van Persie who has scored eleven goals is priced at 50/1 to retain the title.
Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “Daniel Sturridge is in tremendous form and has scored in his last eight consecutive Premier League matches and has become only the second player after former Manchester United’s Ruud van Nistelrooy to net in eight consecutive games.”
He added “Luis Suarez remains red hot at 1/6 to win the Golden Boot but Daniel Sturridge may well give him a run for his money and punters also think so as we have laid some hefty bets on Sturridge on Sunday evening”.
