Cork City striker Graham Cummins looks set for a move to Preston North End.
Cummins was voted PFAI First Division Player of the Year for two successive years and is now on the verge of a €100,000 move to the League One side.
The 24-year-old scored 24 goals for Cork City last year as the side won the Airtricity First Division title.
A statement on Cork City’s website read: “Cork City FC wish to announce that the club has reluctantly accepted a bid for Graham Cummins from Preston North End for an undisclosed sum.
“Graham is currently travelling to the UK to discuss personal terms. The club do not wish to comment further on the matter at this time.”
A statement on Preston North End’s website confirmed the transfer a short time later.
“Preston North End can confirm a fee has been agreed with Cork City for the transfer of forward Graham Cummins. Talks between the club and the 24-year-old are yet to take place.”
