The Premier League had a mixed weekend with Liverpool’s Luis Suarez failing to score goals but he still remains at the top of the betting at 13/5 to land the 2013/14 Premier League Top Goalscorer crown.
Despite not scoring against Swansea on Sunday, Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero who now has scored ten goals this season is all the rage with punters and has been supported into joint favouritism alongside Luis Suarez.
Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney saved the day for the Red Devils on Sunday to play out a 2-2 draw with Tottenham and he now has scored eight goals this season and has been shortened into 11/1 from 16/1 with Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker to claim the Golden Boot crown.
Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “We have seen plenty of support for Sergio Aguero and had to cut him into 3/1 from 10/3 on Saturday. The money kept flowing in for the Argentinian striker on Sunday and we have had to cut him further into 13/5 joint favouritism alongside Luis Suarez.”
He added “Luis Suarez is already a big book loss but currently Sergio Aguero is hot on his heels and may yet prove to be our biggest liability if the demand continues to come for the Argentinian striker.”
