Queens Park Rangers could still sign Brazilian youngster Henrique from Sao Paulo.
The transfer reportedly fell through on Monday when the player was denied a work permit. Sao Paulo vice-president Joao Lopes has said the transfer could still go ahead provided the deal is made permanent, however.
Talking to Globoesporte, Lopes said: “The FA would only give him the green light if it was a permanent transfer.”
The original agreement was for an 18 month loan deal that would become a permanent transfer in June 2013. QPR may now have to meet Sao Paulo’s asking price, believed to be around $6m.
