Cash rich Queens Park Rangers have been linked with a move for Wigan’s Victor Moses.
Wigan are the smallest club in the FA Premier League and should a sizable enough bid come in for the Nigerian international, the club would have little option but to sell up.
In a report in Setanta Sports, it is thought that QPR boss Mark Hughes would offer £7 million for the winger. While Wigan manager Roberto Martinez would like to keep the player who has played at several underage levels for England, he is however in the last year of his contract and the Latics would prefer to cash in on him now rather than see him leave the club on a free transfer at the end of next season.
Should QPR wish to be successful in acquiring Moses’ services, they will need to be in the Premier League as the Kaduna (Nigeria) native would not want to drop down to the Championship.
QPR go into their last game of the season against title chasing Manchester City, knowing that they need to avoid defeat to be certain of avoiding the drop. Wigan meanwhile guaranteed their Premier League survival with a 1-0 win over Blackburn on Monday night.
