Robbie Keane looks set to turn down offers from Aston Villa, Norwich and Queens Park Rangers as the LA Galaxy man wants to use the winter break to recover.
The three Premier League clubs are reported to be preparing offers for the former Tottenham striker but even the offer of a reunion with Harry Redknapp at QPR won’t be enough to tempt the Tallaght man into returning to England.
“The MLS market is one that we’ve got to look at,” Redknapp said when asked about the possibility of going across the Atlantic in the January market.
“Robbie’s a good shout. He probably would be an interesting player. I haven’t spoken to him yet no but he would be an interesting player. He’s a good pro and he would be the ideal type to have around for sure because he would give us something.”
Keane though is thought to not want to replicate his loan spell at Aston Villa last winter, nor is he interested in joining up with former Spurs assistant Chris Hughton at Norwich.
The Ireland international picked up the MLS Cup with LA Galaxy earlier this month and scored a penalty in the final which was another reported QPR target David Beckham’s last game for the club.
