Spurs chasing Leicester keeper

Tottenham Hotspurs are keeping tabs on Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel.

According to the Sun Newspaper, Harry Redknapp is keen on the 25 year old, son of Manchester United legend Peter, as he looks for a long term replacement for current custodian, 40 year old Brad Friedel.

Schmeichel, also a target for German side Schalke, has impressed this season for Nigel Pearson’s Championship side, after joining them from Leeds United last summer and would cost in the region of £2 million pound.

The former Danish U21 star began his career with Manchester City where he enjoyed loans spells with Darlington, Bury, Falkirk, Cardiff and Coventry before joining Notts County in 2009.
