Lokomotiv Moscow have signed Roman Pavlyuchenko for £8m from Spurs.
The Russian striker joined Tottenham for a fee of around £14m in 2008, but the striker has struggled to get into the starting line-up throughout his stint at the London club.
The year old has played a total of 133 minutes in the Premier League this season, scoring one goal.
Pavlyuchenko’s best season at the club was 2010/11, when the Russian scored ten and assisted four goals.
Harry Redknapp replaced Pavlyuchenko with the signing of Louis Saha.
A Spurs statement read: “We have reached agreement for the transfer of Roman Pavlyuchenko to Lokomotiv Moscow.
“The striker joined us from Spartak Moscow in August 2008 and went on to score 42 goals in 113 appearances. We thank Roman for his contribution and wish him every success for the future.”
Pavlyuchenko returns to Russia, where he spent a total of ten years at Dynamo Stavropol, Rotor Volvograd and Spartak Moscow.
