Stoke City are preparing a £7million bid for Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, according to reports in the Sunday People.

The article claims that Shelvey is unhappy at Anfield after both Jordan Henderson and new signing Philippe Coutinho moved ahead of him in the pecking order for a midfield spot. The 21-year-ol former Charlton player was an ever present in the side for a number of weeks when the new boss first took over, but has since been dropped. His early season form saw him earn a first cap for Roy Hodgson’s England side, and he is keen to secure a move in order to advance his international prospects.
Now Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is ready to offer him regular first time football at the Britannia Stadium and that looks like an opportunity that the player will find difficult to turn down. City scouts watched Shelvey play for the Liverpool development team last week and he has been targeted as a replacement for Charlie Adam, who look likely to exit the club after just one season.
Shelvey has appeared in 28 games for Liverpool this season, scoring five goals – four of which came in the Europa League.

I don’t think Shelvey has to leave the team. Mr. Rodgers just need to give the young lad a opportunity..
