There is little doubt that Jose Mourinho will name a very strong Manchester united team for his Europa League match against St Etienne on Thursday.

The first interesting thing about the match will be the possible match up of Paul Pogba and his older brother Florentin for the first time in their professional careers, so he is likely to start on Thursday.

Another player who will want to show his top form is Anthony Martial who came through the youth ranks at St Etienne rivals Lyon, and has admitted he is desperate to score against his old foe. “There was a huge rivalry while I was at Lyon,” Martial told the United website. “It would be great if I could score against them again, but I hope we can win the game because that’s the most important thing.”

United have won 13 of 26 matches against French sides, also registering 11 draws and only two defeats so the Europa league betting for this match should statistically really favour the Manchester team.

Mourinho told MUTV immediately after the draw was made “It’s a French club and they have quality, It’s a historical club; despite many years without titles, it’s a big club with big tradition. It’s the club where Michel Platini, before he went to Italy, did amazingly well in an amazing team that was dominant in France in that period, so it’s a historical club. And the extra curiosity of a beautiful thing which is two brothers playing against each other.”

Phil Jones and Wayne Rooney are most likely out injured but Jose Mourinho does not have any other known concerns so he has a full team to pick for this last 32 Europa League clash.
