Newcastle United twice lead Liverpool FC but the sending off of Yanga-Mbiwa helped Liverpool comeback and get a 2-2 draw.

Yohan Cabaye’s superb 30-yard strike put the Magpies ahead but Steven Gerrard equalised from the spot after Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa was sent-off for a foul on Luis Suarez.

Paul Dummet’s far-post shot restored the home side’s lead only for Sturridge to nod the Reds level again.

Luis Suarez shot skimmed the crossbar as Newcastle held on for a draw after seven minutes of injury time.

The draw moves Liverpool FC one point ahead of Arsenal who will be hoping to go back on top by beating Norwich at home in the 3pm kick off.

2 dropped points but keeping the momentum going. Converting chances and keeping confidence is important.
