Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur continue to strengthen their side in the transfer window with reports starting to come in that the English club have landed the signing of Brazilian sensation Willian.
Of course, Liverpool have also been linked with signing the 25-year-old playmaker over the past number of weeks, with reports that Brendan Rodgers has been keen to bring in a top-quality offensive midfielder before the summer transfer window shuts.
According to a variety of online sources, Russian publication, Sport Express this morning released a news story detailing that Tottenham had agreed a deal with Willian’s club Anzhi Makhachkala worth a reported €35m plus the percentage of any future transfer.

James Dickinson of Express.co.uk reported on Monday that Willian was scheduled to fly in to England to finalise a decision on his footballing future. At the time, it was unclear which club he was seriously considering – however today’s reports seem to have shed some light on that.
Clearly the Brazil international would be a tremendous asset to the London club, although it still remains to be seen whether Andre Villa-Boas’ very active role in the transfer market has been carried out in an effort to persuade Gareth Bale to stay on at White Hart Lane, or whether he is strengthening his ranks in preparation for his inevitable departure.
