Transfer News – Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna proposed move to Manchester City looks increasingly more likely.

The thirty-one year old, who last weekend won the F.A. Cup with Arsenal, has yet to commit to a the new contract on the table from the London club. The deal has been in place for some time, and Sagna’s refusal to budge on his demands has allowed City to swoop in for a three year deal at worth around £120,000-a-week.
Despite a £49 million cap on spending in place for City as a result of breaking the new financial fair play rules, Sagna will come on board as a free transfer having run down his current contract. Should he sign with the reigning Premier League Champions, he would face stiff competition to get into the starting eleven, with Pablo Zabaleta an every present in the team. Indeed, it is the consistency or the Argentine that has all but forced Micah Richards out of the club, although the Englishman has also had his injury problems.
Should Sagna leave, Toulouse right back Serge Aurier has been hotly tipped to replace the outgoing player. He Ivory Coast international could yet play at the World Cup as well.
