Transfer News: Liverpool FC are believed to be lining up a move for Burnley forward Danny Ings.
The 21 year old first came under the Reds radar whilst on the books of Bournemouth but his development since moving to Turf Moor in 2011, particularly his form this season, has really caught the eye.
According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool are ready to tempt Burnley’s resolve to keep the player with a big money January offer.
The Clarets have impressed this season in the Championship and currently occupy the second automatic promotion place however with the parachute payments they received from their 2009/2010 season in the top flight running out they could be tempted to cash in for the right amount.
According to the Dailymail Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is looking for a back up to Daniel Sturridge and Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez.
Ings may not be the big name striker fans would expect to see arrive at Anfield in the January transfer window but Ings has already netted 20 times in all competitions for club and country the forward he is definitely one for the future.
But Burnley boss Sean Dyche said ”We’re looking to bring in, not get out, We’ve been very clear as a club to come out and say no-one’s for sale, and they’re not, it’s as simple as that.” But this situations change like backing roulette when money comes into the situation, its reported the striker could be worth 8 million.
Liverpool are in fourth position and with their easy victory over Everton and Tottenham losing to Manchester City fourth position and Champions league looks like an odds on possibility.
