It looks as though Gareth Bale’s proposed move to Real Madrid has finally gone through in a deal worth £93 million
Los Blancos have reportedly payed £93m for the Welshman, 24, with Fabio Coentrao moving to White Hart Lane as part of the deal. Neither club have confirmed the transfer news as of yet, however it does coincide with Spurs pushing the deal through to finance other purchases.

According to a story in this morning’s Mirror by Neil McLeman, former Spain international and Madrid forward Raul believes Daniel Levy and company have overvalued their star asset.
One team that hasn’t made many succesful moves this summer is the reigning champions Manchester United.
Their several failed attempts to bring Cesc Fabregas to Old Trafford have many wondering just how ready David Moyes is to take the reins at such a big club. Having had bid after bid rejected over the past few weeks, the Scot eventually turned his attention to his former club Everton.
His joint bid for Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines was rejected, however, as reported by The Irish Times, it’s expected that Clive Woodward and Moyes will return with two vastly improved separate bids in an effort to lure Roberto Martinez’s men away to pastures more successful.
Another big English club who haven’t had any joy in bringing new talent in is Arsenal. Countless transfer targets left, right and centre have either rejected Arsenal’s offers or have cited their content at their current club. Either way, Arsene Wenger is no closer to signing anyone of note, and with an injury crisis at the Emirates on the cards, it could well be a long season for the Frenchman.
Only yesterday, as reported by The Irish Independent, they had a bid for Yohan Canaye rejected.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have been busy lining up further targets with the news from the Mirror’s David Anderson that Brendan Rodgers is keen on signing Aly Cissokho from Valencia. Clearly, the Reds are keen to strengthen their left-back position ahead of the news season as they prepare to challenge across a variety of cups and competitions.
And finally, Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be close to signing Brazil international Willian from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. According to Russian publication Sport-Express, both club and player have agreed terms in a deal worth over €35 million.
Sport-Express report that Tottenham and Anzhi have agreed terms for Willian (€35m plus percentage of future transfer).
