Goalkeeper Michel Vorm has ended talk of a move to Liverpool by signing a new four-year contract with Swansea.
The new deal will keep the Dutch International at the Liberty Stadium until 2016.
The 28 year old joined the Swans from Utrecht last summer and proved to be one of the signings of the season with his performances between the posts earning him the Club’s player of the year award.
Liverpool had been linked with a move for Vorm but any move is on hold for the foreseeable future following today’s [Thursday, 27th September] announcement.
Speaking to the club’s official website Vorm said “I’m delighted. I’m enjoying my time here very much and it is one of the reasons why I’ve signed an extension,”
“I can also only see things at Swansea getting better and better. I can see a lot of positive things happening here and I believe the club has a bright future ahead of it.
“The club has signed a lot of its quality players for longer periods, which is a good thing.”
