Fulham travel to Upton Park on Saturday to face a West Ham side who will be buoyed by their success in securing the loan move of Andy Carroll from Liverpool, described as one of the biggest deals of the transfer window.
Carrol is expected to make his debut for the hammers on Saturday and boss Sam Allardyce will be hoping that he will be a key factor in transforming their early season form following a disappointing 3-0 defeat by Swansea last weekend.
They are not the only ones who have been busy in the transfer market and Kieran Richardson is also in line to make his debut for Fulham as Martin Jol’s side look to bounce back from their 3-2 defeat to Manchester United last week.
Despite their league disappointment last weekend both sides got their Premier League campaigns off to a positive start as Fulham ran out easy 5-0 winners against Norwich City, while West Ham United got past Aston Villa by 1-0 in their first home fixture of the 2012/13 season.
Carroll is expected to make his debut for the Hammers on Saturday, while defenders George Mc Cartney and James Collins will need to prove their fitness after both sustained knocks in last weekend’s defeat to Swansea.
Allardyce will have to do without Jack Collinson (knee injury) however he will welcome back a host of players who sat out their Capital One Cup win over Crewe during the week, such as Jussi Jaaskelainen, Mohamed Diame and Matt Jarvis.
For Fulham, new signing Richardson could be involved on Saturday and Martin Jol is also expected to reintroduce the majority of the players who were rested for the Cottager’s midweek League Cup defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
In other Fulham news, Jon-Arne Rise will be available for selection following recovery from a muscular injury, however Bryan Ruiz is a doubt with a hamstring problem and Kerim Frei (pelvis) and Philippe Senderos (foot) remain on the injury list.
Verdict: West Ham win

Fulham: Schwarzer; Reither, Hughes, Hangeland, Riise; Diarra, Sidwell; Duff, Kasami, Kacaniklic; Petric.
