Irish striker Paddy Madden broke a fifty year old club record at the weekend, when he scored for the eighth successive time. The Yeovil Town forward has been in excellent recent form and just keeps banging in the goals.
Madden, twenty two, is a former League of Ireland star, who enjoyed success at Bohemians before moving across the Irish Sea. He claimed his 19th goal of the season this weekend, as his side drew 1-1 with Doncaster Rovers. Madden previously played for Bohs and Shelbourne, before signing for Carlisle, and later went on loan to Yeovil. This move was soon made permanent and he has become a firm favourite with fans.
Having led the scoring charts in League One, and been named Player of the Month on a couple of occasions, the young striker will surely be mentioned as a possible call up for future Irish friendlies.
