The Donald McCain trained Overturn is set try go one better than in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham when he lines up for the Rabobank Irish Champion Hurdle at Punchestown on April 27th.

Overturn only found Rock On Ruby too good at Cheltenham and his trainer confirmed to the Racing Post that his stable star is on course for the 2 mile Grade 1 where he may renew rivalries with defending Irish Champion Hurdler Hurricane Fly, who finished a disappointing third at Cheltenham.

McCain said “He has been fine since Cheltenham and is working away nicely. We purposely skipped Aintree to go to Punchestown and providing the ground is okay, he will run.”

While Overturn finished ahead of Hurricane Fly at Cheltenham the bookmakers believe that the Willie Mullins gelding will turn that form around with Paddy Power making him a 4/6 shot for the race.
