Paris Saint-Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti is set to take advantage of the wave of new cash available to him this summer by splashing out on top players and has targeted several Premiership players to join him in the French capital.
After being taken over by a Qatari-based group, the Italian will have funds at his disposal to add to his already stellar squad, who currently lie second in France’s Ligue 1.
PSG have already been linked with Valencia’s Roberto Soldado as well as Real Madrid’s red-hot striker Gonzalo Higuain. But now, Ancelotti is looking to the Premier League and possibly targeting want-away or unsettled players to bring to Paris.
The latest names to be linked to PSG are Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko, who has struggled to nail down a starting berth, due to Sergio Aguero’s scoring streak and Roberto Mancini’s faith in troubled duo Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez. Juventus are reportedly leading the charge for Dzeko’s services but a summer mover to Paris could jumpstart the Bosnian’s career.
Also on the Italian’s radar is Liverpool’s controversial Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez. He has showed both his good and bad side this season, scoring critical goals whilst also getting embroiled in a race row with Manchester United’s Patrice Evra. Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish, has indicated, however, that he would like Suarez to stay, with the South American also committed to staying at the Merseyside outfit.
