The 18 year old Adere clubman is a major doubt for Limerick’s Munster Senior Hurling Championship (SHC) encounter with Tipperary.
Declan Hannon was ordered to take a complete break from all physical activity in order to overcome a groin problem. With six weeks of his recuperation completed Hannon has four weeks left with the clash against Tipperary coming up in five weeks time. One would have to wonder will the player be fit enough in time for this important match.
The player has stated in an interview with the Irish Daily Star that the injury continues to cause him pain after running. This is not a good sign and with the Limerick physio team trying their best to get the player recovered, the likelihood that he will be fit enough in time is very unlikely. Hannon is not overly confident about being ready for this encounter. He is approaching every training session with care and but has not given up hope of possibly being ready in time.
