Pep Guardiola is expected to make his decision on whether he will remain as Barcelona coach tomorrow
The 41 year old manager of the Catalonian giants is expected to announce to his team tomorrow whether or not he will remain at the helm of Barca’s management team.
Guardiola took over the team in 2008 and has enjoyed four remarkable years as coach perhaps producing the greatest football team of all time. He has won numerous titles in his time at the Nou Camp as both player and manager but he may now feel it is time to move on.
Guardiola has only signed short term deals as manager of Barcelona and his current contract ends this summer. There has been escalating rumors in Catalonia this morning that the former Barca and Spain midfielder maybe seriously considering quitting the job. After they were put out of the Champions League on Tuesday night by Chelsea, Guardiola said: “I will speak with Tito [Vilanova, assistant manager] and see what we have to do.
“Right now, we need to talk more about the emotion of our players and how they recover because there are many players that have been playing a long time.
“We have to go to Rayo Vallecano [this weekend], we are still Barca, we have to continue doing things as we usually do them.
“So we will talk to the president as well and we will talk about everything – the situation what happened in these days and of course we will take a decision because it is time to take a decision now.”
Guardiola has been the most successful manager in the clubs history leading them to two Champions League titles, three La Liga trophies, one Copa del Rey, three Supercopas, two UEFA Super Cups and two FIFA Club World Cups
