Electric Ireland has signed a sponsorship deal with the GAA that will see the energy supplier support the GAA All-Ireland Minor Championships up to 2016. According to the General Manager of Electric Ireland, Liam Molloy, the company is “Delighted to have the opportunity work in partnership with the GAA to help grow and develop this competition for our younger GAA players”
Electric Ireland, through its previous incarnation as the ESB has been a partner of the GAA since 2005 and the 2012 GAA Minor Championships across both hurling and football will now be known as the Electric Ireland GAA All-Ireland Minor Championships.
In Leinster the Minor Championships have already begun, with round one of both the football and hurling competitions completed; with the Munster the hurling quarter-finals taking place next weekend. The Ulster teams will commence their campaigns at the end of May with the Connacht Championship games beginning in late June.
