Electrical retailers Currys and PC World have agreed to become official supporters of the Football Association of Ireland as the UEFA European Championships loom large.
The agreement will see the retail chain throw their support behind Irish football for the length of the tournament that takes place this summer in Poland and the Ukraine.
The retailers will embark on an aggressive marketing campaign celebrating Irish football and also plan to launch a series of customer competitions. The Irish team commences its campaign for the Henri Delaunay cup against Croatia in Poznan on the 10th of June.
The Croatian team has recently been dealt a possible injury blow for this crucial opening tie, with Agence France-Presse recently reporting that defender Dejan Lovren is an injury doubt for the Championships. The Lyon player suffered a sprain to his right foot during the French Cup final against Quevilly last Saturday.
