Westmeath vs Carlow minor hurling preview & live score updates

Updated: May 5, 2012

Preview & live score commentary from Leinster Minor Hurling Championship, Westmeath vs Carlow in Cusack Park, Saturday, 1.30pm

Carlow will be heading into their clash with Westmeath full of vim and vigour and will be confident of keeping their recent good form going. The men from Barrowside dispatched Kildare in the last round of the Championship, with their opponents suffering defeat to Laois.

Westmeath are not known for losing at home too often down the years and Carlow know they will have to be at their best to account for the Lake County. “Westmeath in the next round will be another tough task,” commented Carlow selector Robbie Foley.
“We prepared for Kildare so we will have to do the same and prepare for Westmeath now.”

With Westmeath still smarting from their last defeat and both sides set to field strong sides (as there is no fresh injury worries for either side), this could be a fascinating encounter come Saturday lunchtime at Cusack Park, with everything to play for.
