Kerry vs Wicklow Christy Ring preview & live score updates

Updated: May 5, 2012

Kerry vs Wicklow Christy Ring preview & live score updates, Arklow, Saturday, 2.30pm.

Kerry will be heading into their opening Christy Ring Cup match with Wicklow in good heart but must plan their strategy without two influential players.
Andrew Keane will miss out on a starting berth for the Kingdom after sustaining an injury to his shoulder while Gary O’ Brien will miss out due to a groin injury.
Kerry, who missed out by a single point against Westmeath in 2010, went one step further last year, after Mikey Boyle led the Kingdom to the Christy Ring Cup after defeating Saturday’s opponents, Wicklow, 2-21 to 2-8.
Wicklow will be out for revenge this time round in Arklow as they look to wipe clean the memory of last year’s 13 point loss to Kerry in the final.

Wicklow survived a few scares in Division 2A of the Allianz Hurling League this season stave off relegation and will now head into this competition on a positive note. There are no injury worries to speak of and they can head into this crucial tie on the front foot.
Casey O’ Brien and his troops will be hoping to bring some pride back to the Garden County and topple the team who beat them so comprehensively last summer.
