Hawk-Eye trial delayed

It now appears certain that the Hawk-Eye experiment will not be ready in time for this Sunday’s Croke Park clash between Dublin and Mayo.

GAA President Christy Cooney had stated that the new technology would be trialled at Croke Park in one of the National League games. Sunday’s game had seemed the most likely date for the ground breaking trial but it appears that the technology is not yet in place.

Saturday 2 April, when Dublin take on Down and Kilkenny in a football-hurling double-header, now looks the next date that would fit in properly to the GAA schedule and allow testing to take place.
