Former England international Emile Heskey is poised to play his last game for Aston Villa this weekend after the club has decided not to offer the thirty-four year old front man a new deal.
Heskey’s three-and-a-half year deal expires this summer and without a new contract on the table Heskey will be free to leave. Heskey states he has no intention to retire and will be searching for a new club after the final game of the season against Norwich City.
Emile Heskey has spent his career in the top flight despite being a less than prolific striker and has played for Leicester City, Liverpool, Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic before his £3.5million move to Aston Villa.
Heskey’s former club Leicester City have been linked with a move for the prominent target man but as yet he has no club lined up and is waiting to see what the summer brings.
