Portadown’s Adam Carroll who led Team Ireland to a historic victory in the A1GP series in 2009 has been confirmed to perform at Bavaria City Racing Dublin. The F1 extravaganza will provide five hours of free entertainment to members of the public in Dublin’s city centre on Sunday 3rd June.
Carroll is one of Ireland’s hottest motorsport talents having excelled in A1GP, GP2, AutoGP and the Indycar series with Andretti Autosport. Destined for a seat in an F1 car, Carroll has previously test driven for F1 teams.
Also confirmed to perform at the event is the Dutch Spyker Squadron team who have competed in the Le Mans 24 hrs and the Le Mans series since 2002. In 2009 a Spyker C8 Laviolette GTR2 finished fifth in the 24hrs of Le Mans Spyker Squadron is the race division of Spykercars, the Dutch luxury sports car range.

Bavaria City Racing Dublin will provide five hours of non-stop F1 and motorsport action for everyone to enjoy in the heart of Dublin city centre. Carroll and the Spyker Team will line up alongside an ever growing list of international and domestic motorsport talent that includes the Vodafone McLaren F1 team, Caterham F1 Team, the Aprilia Superbike team, the Motorbase British Touring Car team and the Mini Cooper WRC team.
The Bavaria City Racing Dublin F1 city track starts at the Convention Centre Dublin, continues along Customs House Quay before crossing Butt Bridge, chicanes at D’Olier Street, zips past College Green and the Central Bank on Dame Street before reaching the chequered flag on O’Connell Bridge.
Bavaria City Racing Dublin will take place on Sunday 3rd June and is a free public event and over 100,000 people are expected to line the streets of Dublin to enjoy the best of F1 and world motorsport.
For those who want to get closer to the action there are three ticketed premium performance zones on the track at Customs House Quay, O’Connell Bridge and at the Main Paddock on North Wall Quay. The O’Connell Bridge Performance Zone is sold out but spaces are still available at Customs House Quay and in the Main Paddock. Tickets for these areas are priced from €75.90 and are available from Ticketmaster.
